Employees do not log in to the scanner. A Scan Admin runs the station;
you simply stand in front of the camera. Each person can complete
two scans per day —
one check-in and one check-out.
Scan 1 · InFirst successful face match of the day records your arrival (check-in).
Scan 2 · OutSecond successful match records your departure (check-out). No third scan that day.
Step by step
1
Be enrolled first
HR / Company Admin must enroll your face (about 10–20 samples) before the scanner can recognize you.
2
Stand at the scanner
Face the camera in good light. Keep still until the Scan Admin completes the scan. Do not cover your face.
3
Morning = check-in
Your first scan of the day is arrival. Arriving after work start plus late grace may be marked Late.
4
Evening = check-out
Your second scan is departure. After check-out, the system shows “Already marked” if you try again the same day.
Early leave confirmation
If you check out before completing the company minimum working hours (default 9 hours), the scanner asks the Scan Admin to confirm.
If they cancel, you stay checked in — no checkout is saved.
If they confirm, checkout is saved and may be flagged as early departure.
Company work hours, late grace, timezone, and minimum hours are set by your Company Admin in Settings. Defaults are often 09:00–17:00, 15 minutes late grace, timezone Asia/Colombo.
Important rules
Two scans per person per day only — one in, one out. There is no third scan and no re-check-in the same day from the scanner.
The day follows the company timezone, not your phone clock.
Only a Scan Admin operates the scanner app or web scanner. Employees are identified by face only.
If your face is not recognized, try again or contact HR to re-enroll.
Location may be recorded when available. Email notifications may be sent if your company enabled them.
